Holosun Optic Options + Norsso Custom Mounting Solutions

Hi y’all. Lee here with some quick reference info for you on Holosun optics. The landscape of Holosun models can get confusing, especially if a one letter difference means your parts will not fit (C vs K). Here’s a chart that can help you navigate their expansive catalog to ensure you know which parts work with what. The main chart can be found below for general information. To understand more of the specific solutions we offer, please continue past the chart and I’ll break it down per optic cut for the platforms we offer.

Why a custom optic cut solution?

For our slides, we’ve engineered some solutions to remove some of the adapter plates they provide. We’re a proponent of directly mounting the optic to slide to minimize your mechanical offset and provide the strongest mounting solution possible; both of which adapter plates struggle to provide. Think of your slide as a tailored suit that will fit the exact optic you need while looking the way you want. You lose versatility by not using an adapter plate, but your optic as secure as possible.

Mounting Optics on Pistols

For those new to red dot mounting on pistols, there is finite room on the slide for these footprints and sometimes these cuts get very close to the internal features of the slide. Optic manufacturers do their best to provide the necessary hardware, but they can’t cover every use case for every mounting setup. You may need to shorten the screws that come in the box to avoid interfering with the functional parts of the slide. Norsso optic cut solutions

We offer a variety of optic cuts on our slides to directly mount most of these optics. I’ll go into each footprint in more detail in later posts but here’s a quick guide for what optic cuts we can mill for direct mounting.

Please keep in mind that in order for us to achieve these solutions, we manufacture our slides from solid 17-4 stainless steel billet material. Existing factory or other slides do not have the material required for us to machine the designs and optic cut options we have on the website.
