Norsso P365 Slide fitment with the P365 Radian Afterburner + Ramjet Combo

Posted by Lee on Sep 4th 2024

Hi everyone, Lee here with a quick compatibility check on some of the hottest parts in the P365 market. We’re talking about Norsso P365 Slides alongside the new Radian Weapons P365 Afterburner + Ramjet Combo. We’ve been getting a lot of questions about how these parts fit and we just got the ramjet combo in today so let’s answer your questions to get your build moving forward.

Question: “Do your 365 slides work with the Radian Afterburner and Ramjet combo?”

TL;DR - All 3 muzzle designs in our P365 catalog are compatible with the Radian Afterburner + Ramjet Combo. Keep reading if you want to see some fitment pictures and some other tips on how the setup works together.

IMPORTANT: This setup requires the use of the 3.1” barrel length recoil spring. Even if you put the upper on a longer frame, the 3.1” barrel length spring is what you’ll need to get this to work. Those of you dropping down from an XMacro/P365XL build will have to get the shorter recoil spring. Also, you may need to adjust your spring weight based on your build’s performance. Try reducing the spring weight with an adjustable kit if your extraction is trickling out or poor.

Currently, we have 3 muzzle designs in our P365 Catalog: Spec Ops, Bentham, and Reptile style slides. Rail style slides are currently in the works.

Each one has their own unique character, with the Spec Ops and Bentham being our more duty focused slides. Both have forward and deep serrations for your handling and work well with EDC applications. These are definitely on the heavier side and you may have to look into spring adjustments or hotter ammo for a more reliable cycle, especially if you plan to run with an optic. We have stocked optic cut version for the Holosun 507K/EPS carry as well as the Trijicon RMRcc so some tuning may be required with this setup.

Our last design is the Reptile Slide. We have an EDC version of this as well, but you can tell the design is different from the other two. These have some deeper serrations around the sides and front for you. I brought out the Reptile C slide as it is the one that gets requested the most. With the aggressive weight reduction on the Reptile C, that might be the most compatible with this setup. Let’s go ahead and dive into the fit check.

P365 Spec Ops:

I wanted to confirm the comp had travelled far enough to get the two locking screw bores in line. Definitely check this to make sure your locking screw isn't fighting some misalignment. I recommend starting the screw by hand to avoid cross-threading the screw and then finishing the installation with their provided driver bit (I couldn't find a torque value for the screw so that might be something to look up).

Barrel fitment looks good with a solid lockup and contact on the breechface. If the comp wasn’t fitting correctly, the barrel would not be able to travel all the way into lockup. Functional travel also looks correct as you’re able to lock back the slide with the catch and rotate your takedown lever for a field strip.

P365 Bentham: Similar muzzle profile to the Spec ops so compatibility is good.

P365 Reptile (Reptile C Shown):

The most requested slide for compatibility check is the Reptile C. The profile is the same for all the Reptile style slides so if you have a different one then you should be fine. The Reptile C is definitely the lightest one we have for this platform so your tuning might be a bit easier with this combo.

I put this one on both the P365X length frame and the P365XL length frame so you can see the matchup with the dust cover. There’s a slight taper down from the very end to the grip module but I would say most would consider that a “flush” look with the XMacro grip.

Some holsters may not work with the extra profile of the comp. I have a couple of TXC X1 Pro holsters that retain from the trigger guard and have an opening around the muzzle for the comp to fit through. You’ll need the correct size holster based on your P365 or P365XL/XMacro size grip module but they work great with our slides, suppressor height sights, optics, and now the comp.

That should cover all the fitment concerns as well as some good options for customizing your build. Feel free to email us at info@norsso.com with any further questions or some pictures of your Norsso build using the new Radian Ramjet and Afterburner combo! Till next time!
